This page describes use of My Private Arc, responsibility for accounts and archive passphrases, and how documentation can be used. Any prices and payment terms are shown before you confirm a purchase.
What this is
This information applies to the My Private Arc website, installable app and associated services. It explains features, requirements and technical limitations.
This text does not establish new liability exclusions, guarantees or an agreed availability level. Any separate commercial agreements apply in addition.
What the service does
My Private Arc helps you document belongings and travel with photos and information, encrypted archive storage, timestamping and reports. Local analysis is the default; optional AI analysis requires separate consent.
You review the content and choose what to share. Attach a report to a claim you submit yourself. Your insurer assesses the claim and coverage; the service does not guarantee compensation.
Your account
You have to confirm your email address before the account can be used. Keeping your password to yourself is your responsibility.
A family account has an owner, administrators, members and viewers. Whoever invites decides the role. The role decides what the member can see and do, and is checked on the server on every request.
Keys and passphrases
Your account password and archive passphrase serve different purposes. The account password is used to sign in. The archive passphrase unlocks the key for the individual archive; we do not know it and cannot send it to you.
Keep your archive passphrase and recovery code somewhere secure. Without an available key or recovery route, the archive cannot be opened. A previously enabled vault may provide a separate recovery route after a request, email confirmation, a 48-hour wait and custodian approval. It cannot be enabled afterwards to open an archive you have already lost access to.
Price estimates
Price suggestions may show low, likely and high values with a source where available. AI and price suggestions may be incorrect or lack supporting evidence. Review and correct the information before using it.
Changing display currency does not change the source amount or source currency. Consider the exchange-rate basis and time when comparing amounts.
A price estimate is not an appraisal, offer or guarantee of compensation. Your insurer makes its own assessment.
What a proof says
The Trust Standard Protocol is the whole trust and proof protocol. RFC 3161 timestamping is one technical component of it.
A proof binds a hash, a time, an algorithm and a verification basis. It says that particular bytes existed then, and that they have not changed since.
It says nothing about the content being true, the object existing physically, who owned it or what it was worth. If a seal fails, the content stays not sealed. You can verify a proof without us.
Use of the service
You are responsible for having the right to store and share your material. Do not use the service for unlawful content or to infringe others’ rights. Consider other people’s information when taking photos and preparing reports.
Encryption does not change this responsibility. Sharing, the optional vault and AI analysis have separate access choices and consent requirements.
Availability
The service may become unavailable during maintenance, technical failures or provider outages. System status shows a limited check when the page opens; it is not continuous monitoring or an uptime guarantee.
Keep your own copies of reports and store the recovery code securely. Our backups do not replace your access to that code. A specific availability level applies only if separately agreed.
Liability
Review your documentation, keep your codes secure and retain your own copies of reports you need. Technical failures or lost access may prevent service use.
These technical limitations are not a general exclusion of liability. Responsibility and any agreed limitations must be assessed under the applicable agreement and law.
Changes
Features and information may be updated. This page describes current use and technical limitations. Material changes to agreed terms must be handled as agreement changes, not merely as a text update.
